First, let’s address the elephant in the “room”... the company name. “Magnolia"....is an overused name these days....but, over 25 years ago, I bought my 1st home on Grace & Magnolia in Chicago. I learned so much about life within those walls. When I quit my boring office job to raise our kids, I named a somewhat fictional company in honor of that special time and place.... 16 years later, I finally have time to follow my passion.
I love to decorate. Through the years, I’ve realized that not everyone feels that love. Maybe some lack time, motivation or vision. Since I have an abundance of time, motivation and vision, I’ve helped friends and friends of friends...... and loved every minute. So, I decided to branch out.
My goal is to make a space comfortable, functional and reflect the style of the people who live there. I want people to feel at home. In my experience, it doesn't have to cost a fortune to achieve those goals. Use what you have. Rearrange, bring in good lighting, change the paint color, add wall paper, add molding, embellish and accessorize with 'new' items and transform any space. If you need assistance, I’m here.

Let’s work together to figure out the best use of your space! The initial consultation should take about an hour in your space. We will discuss ideas, style and I will take measurements. Subsequently, I will provide you with suggested floor plans and a design board. Floor plans and design idea boards are used to provide a visualization of the options for your room. If you choose to take the designs provided and create the look yourself, you are welcome to do so.
If you would like me to complete the project or help you complete the project, we will rework or finalize the plans. Using pieces you have and selecting new pieces, we will create a warm, inviting and stylish space.

Decorating shelves and glass cabinets is fun….and maybe intimidating. Much like a Consultation, we will meet to access your space and needs. This meeting should take about an hour. Within that hour, depending on scope of project, I may start working with what you have and suggest what additional items would complete the shelving. If planned in advance, we can shop directly following the consultation. We can shop together or I can shop for you. I would love to style your shelving following the shopping extravaganza.
If you are feeling inspired, you have the option to style the shelves yourself.
